At the 2021 IUVA World Congress, we presented two, comparative case studies demonstrating how molded, UV glass optics address challenges facing UV-C LED application adoption, including cost, efficiency, and light distribution.

The addition of a molded, UV glass optics to your design enhances and improves the light distributions of UV-C LEDs, by covering more lateral area in the air (requiring fewer LEDs to cover a specified area) and increasing surface irradiance at a distance to achieve application irradiance and dosage targets (with fewer LEDs).

WATCH THIS PRESENTATION TO LEARN HOW MOLDED, UV OPTICS CAN:

  • Increase irradiance/dose at longer working distances
  • Reduce UV disinfection cycle times
  • Improve disinfection area coverage
  • Decrease LED count for area coverage and UV dose requirements
